Freshman Spotlight – Q&A with Kelsey Whiteley

What made you choose Wesley?
It was close to home and it had that small campus feeling.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
My house is shaped like an igloo!
Did you play any other sports in high school? If so tell us more about your experience with that sport?
I ran indoor and outdoor track all four years in high school. I will continue my track career at Wesley this spring.
What are you thinking about or planning on majoring in?
I am majoring in History and hope to become a teacher.
What favorite song is on the IPOD?
One Love by Hootie and the Blowfish
Who is your favorite soccer player in the world?
Mia Hamm
What do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?
I would love to be teaching High School History somewhere.
Who is your biggest hero? Why?
My mom…she has lupus which makes her very weak but you would never be able to tell. She puts her all into everything and would do anything for anyone. She is just so hardworking and determined.
What are you most excited about for your first college season?
Being apart of a team that loves the game of soccer and who cares for each other.
